1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using CoverRate (cover-rate.com), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Description of service
CoverRate provides AI-powered grade predictions for comic books. Users upload photos of their comics and receive an estimated CGC/CBCS grade. These predictions are estimates only and do not constitute official grading. CoverRate is not affiliated with CGC, CBCS, or any grading company.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use CoverRate. By registering, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that the information you provide is accurate.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload images that do not depict comic books or collectibles
- Attempt to manipulate or reverse-engineer the AI model
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent the free scan limit
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Upload images containing illegal content
- Embed instructions or text in uploaded images intended to manipulate the AI output (prompt injection)
Violations may result in immediate account termination without refund.
5. Disclaimer of warranties
CoverRate is provided "as is" without any warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Grade predictions are AI estimates and may differ significantly from official CGC/CBCS grades. CoverRate is not responsible for any financial decisions made based on its predictions.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CoverRate's liability for any claim arising out of or related to these terms is limited to the amount you paid in the 3 months preceding the claim. CoverRate is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
7. Intellectual property
The CoverRate name, logo, software, and AI model are the exclusive property of LazyTech. You retain ownership of the photos you upload. By uploading photos, you grant CoverRate a temporary, limited license to process them for the purpose of providing the service.
8. Account termination
You may delete your account at any time by contacting hello@cover-rate.com. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
9. Changes to terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email of any material changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. For EU consumers, mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence also apply.
